NCAA and USA Swimming Partner with Competitor
On the broad shoulders of sports icon Michael Phelps, swimming has vaulted into the spotlight and become the main event at the Summer Olympics. Every four years, millions of people watch Phelps and the rest of the Olympic swimmers power between brightly colored floating lanes. At first glance these lanes may appear simple, but they are innovative products specifically modified for the particular complexities each pool. Although lane lines can differ by color and weight, chances are they have one thing in common, the Competitor Swim brand.
For the last 56 years, Competitor Swim has dedicated itself to creating the highest quality swim lane lanes. As a result, the Competitor brand has been featured in nine of the last 12 Olympic Games and now it has earned an exclusive partnership with the biggest swimming bodies in the world, the NCAA and USA Swimming.
Competitor will now be the sole provider of swim lane lines for the NCAA Division I, II and III Championships as well as the more than 1,000 collegiate swimming meets. In addition to provide swim lane line for all major events, Competitor’s partnership with USA Swimming guarantees marketing opportunities, including ads in Splash Magazine and features on Deck Pass, USA Swimming’s official mobile app.
USA Swimming Executive Director Chuck Wielgus told SwimSwam.com that the decision to partner with Competitor Swim was a no-brainer:
We’ve worked with Competitor Swim for many years and we couldn’t be more excited to make this partnership official. Their products are world-class and are a perfect fit for USA Swimming as we always aim to provide the best conditions for our athletes at our events.
By creating a superior quality product and providing outstanding customer services, Competitor Swim has ascended to the top of the industry and will once again be featured at this year’s Summer Olympics.
This summer when you’re watching Michael Phelps chase another gold medal, wow your friends by name-dropping the Competitor Swim lane lines!
