NAIA AND NCAA SPORTS RECRUITING
WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE CAN HELP YOU
PLAY COLLEGE SPORT
This service is provided by Ken Lancaster, a
parent and athlete who has been through the recruiting process and can identify
with you the athlete and your sporting ambitions.
It is extremely difficult to find information about how to apply for college
scholarships, in particular, college athletic scholarships. Contacting colleges
and coaches as well as trying to work through the maze of rules imposed by the
NCAA is not easy.
Ken is president of the Traralgon Harriers Athletic Club and is still a
registered competing athlete. He now concentrates mainly on Marathons at a
slightly slower pace than in years gone by. He is also a competitive kayaker and
has only recently completed the 404 Km Murray River Marathon, the longest kayak
race in the world.
Ken has a background in industrial relations and has been actively involved in a
number of youth organizations including Scouting, Junior Football and of course
Track and Field.
He is also a past vice-president of our local high school council. (Traralgon
Secondary College).
With good communication skills and a willingness
to market yourself you can get recruited.
