details.
Posting an Athletic Scholarship Web
Profile on the internet is something that you can pay a recruiting
service to do this for you or you can do it yourself. Most recruiting
services will claim to offer much more exposure but at the same time
will charge you a premium price.
You must remember that a web based
athletic profile is only one of the methods you can use to get
noticed by the college coaches, don't rely on it getting you
recruited, use it as part of your overall strategy. No matter what
recruiting services claim they Cannot make
the college coaches go to their sites and view your resume.

Some services will
claim to have thousands of coaches registered with them; this might
be true but there are some that simply send an email to all the
coaches and tell them that they are registered and give them a
password to logon; these coaches have never visited the site, they
probably never will, but the web based recruiting service will claim
to have them registered. In other words the coach or college did not
register at all. Before you sign up for one of these "online web
profiles" ask for at least 10 testimonials from coaches that you can
check up on, yes 10, if the service is legitimate then this will not
be a problem and they will be more than pleased to help you. As an
alternative select 3 or 4 colleges yourself and phone the coach, ask
if they are registered with the company, if they are not then don't
bother handing over your money, there is no point having a resume on
one of these sites if the coaches aren't going to see it. |
Coaches don't have to "respond" to web pages but they have an
obligation to respond to your letters and to a lesser extent your
emails. Most take the trouble and will answer you.
You can post a personal web sports
profile and target market it to those coaches that you hope will
take the time to view your web page. You send a brief email to the
coach outlining who you are and why you would be of benefit to
that coach's athletic program and "point" the coach to your web
page.
Your profile would include pictures,
statistics, letters of recommendation, academic achievements,
sporting achievements, both at high school and at club level, and any
other material that you think is relevant.

A good warm-up is essential for reducing the risk of
injury in both competitive sports and low intensity workouts.
Warming-up is important
because it increases blood flow to the muscles.
