Improve your water polo skills
at a summer camp
If you are going to apply for a college
water polo scholarship then you should consider attending a showcase or sports
summer camp.
Water Polo camps will provide you with very specific additional training and
development and as a bonus you get seen by the people that count, the
college coaches.
Most summer camps cater for either girls or boys of different
age groups and skill levels.
Camps offer both technical and tactical
training. Tactical training usually includes Attacking multiple defensive schemes,
Anticipation, Decision Making and Defending multiple offensive
schemes. Technical training tends to concentrate Ball
Handling, Drive Defense,
Correct Body Positioning, Specialized
Driving Techniques and Pure Shooting. you can also expect to receive
coaching in Power Swimming and Flexibility Training.
There are many good water polo summer camps throughout the USA that will help you
improve your skills including, elite water polo clinics, water polo instruction
camps, water polo showcases, college water polo camps, college water polo prospect
camps and summer water polo camps most of the year.

Many of these camps will have college water polo coaches coming to watch you
play but make sure that you pick water polo camps that are run by the colleges
and the college coach. You will get to see what the coach is looking for
and YOU WILL BE SEEN.
I get asked by student-athletes all the time, "how can I get the
water polo coach or scout come to watch me play"?
Well it's a very simple answer, attend a water polo camp at the
college.
