Improve your soccer skills and get noticed by the college coach

If you have your heart set on a college soccer scholarship then you might want to consider attending a soccer camp or showcase. Soccer camps can provide you with very position specific additional development and training and get you noticed by the college coaches.

There are many soccer camps throughout the USA that will help you improve your skills including, elite soccer clinics, soccer instruction camps, soccer showcases, college soccer camps, college soccer prospect camps. Some of these camps will have college coaches coming to watch you play but If it's your aim to be seen by the coaches then I think your best bet is to attend a soccer camp that is being conducted by the colleges and the college coach. You will get to see what the coach is looking for and YOU WILL BE SEEN.

Some state soccer associations also run high standard camps that can also give you exposure to State Olympic Development Program and college coaches.

SOCCER TRAINING TIP

Most soccer players can kick a ball around in training but you need to imagine yourself doing it too. When your not on the soccer field playing a game or training you need to use mental imagery. There are a number of ways to do this but lets concentrate on just two. Internal and external visualization. See yourself playing a game as though you were actually doing it or imagine that you are watching a movie of yourself paying in a soccer match. you can do this anytime, just before you go to sleep, while your waiting for a bus... Anytime..
