Atlantic Soccer Conference (ASC) is sport specific in that the only intercollegiate sport is soccer. The ASC is a NCAA Division I conference and its champion automatically becomes eligible for bid to the annual NCAA Men's Soccer Championship Tournament. There are many soccer camps throughout the USA that will help you improve your skills including, elite soccer clinics, soccer instruction camps, soccer showcases, college soccer camps, college soccer prospect camps. In 2002, Division I Women's Rugby was classified as an National Collegiate Athletic Association emerging sport. 2 years later, in 2004, Division II and Division III were also included. Currently, the NCAA has 5 women's varsity teams. Of these teams on is DI, one DII and three are DIII. These colleges all offer women's rugby at the varsity level. The game of indoor soccer was devised in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1930 for use in YMCA programs. The 1st international competition took place in 1965, when Paraguay won the 1st South American Cup. 6 more South American Cup competitions were held between 1965 and 1979.
