The college is situated in the center of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Point Park University is a small, private, accredited, liberal arts university. The school places an emphasis on career-based education providing Point Park University students with great opportunities for hands-on, real-world experiences.

Full-Time Undergraduate Admissions
Point Park College welcomes prospective students for full-time admission  who wish to enter the University as a freshman, or as transfer students. Full-time students are those who intend to take Twelve or more academic credits each semester.

Adult and Graduate Admissions
The school welcomes prospective students interested in attending evening, weekend, or graduate programs.

    International Student Admissions
The University invites international students to apply for admission. The Office of International Student Services and Enrollment provides a full range of services to international students including admission and scholarship processing for both undergraduate and graduate applicants.

Point Park College athletics aims to provide a quality academic and athletic experience for each of their student-athletes.   One of the primary advantages of attending a smaller school like Point Park is the opportunity for student-athletes to receive personalized attention from coaches, faculty members, staff members, while building or starting an athletics tradition for their teams and programs.

In Fall 2005,5 out of 9 teams had team grade point averages of 3.0 or higher, and each 4 year varsity contributor was honored with a brick in their name and sport placed in Alumni Park.

If you are a young woman bowler who wants to apply for a college bowling scholarship then you should consider attending a showcase or bowling camp.

Intramural and club sports are offered on most campuses and are usually ran by the students themselves. This permits students to compete for fun rather than conference championships.

The metabolic syndrome is a prevalent condition in North America, with nearly 25 percent of U.S. men and women having the syndrome along with roughly 15 percent of Canadian adults. An individual with the metabolic syndrome has three or more of the following factors: high blood pressure, high blood glucose, high plasma triglycerides, low HDL cholesterol, and high waist circumference.

Many believe that freckles just appear in children naturally. But in fact, Voorhees says, the majority of freckles, if not all, are sure signs of sun damage. "When you see that occurring in a child, of course, it's too late for those spots, but certainly that person needs tremendous sun protection."

Football helmets use a suspension system designed to take repeated hits, whereas helmets for biking, skiing and motor sports use a ‘sacrificial’ design intended for 1-time hits.
