INFORMATION

MOST athletic scholarships are not "full-ride"
they are partial only. The majority of college sports are classified as
equivalency sports by the NCAA. What this means is that college softball coaches
can offer more scholarships at a smaller percentage.
NCAA DI 12 scholarships per college.
NCAA DII 7.2 scholarships per college.
Softball scholarships are also available at NAIA affiliated colleges and some
junior colleges as well.
Pleas note that college coaches attend Regional, National, and State fast pitch tournaments. Remember that coaches tend to "track" players that have contacted them.
TRAVEL TEAMS.
The best travel teams are usually made up of the top high school players in each state. College coaches are much more likely to attend these games that a high school game. If you have submitted your resume and your playing on a travel team you can just almost count on being watched.
Most of the top colleges and universities, including junior colleges, run their own softball camps as well over the summer. These softball camps will provide you with very specific additional development and training and you will also be seen by the college softball coaches.
