Pacific-10 CONFERENCE Pac-10
The Pacific-10 Conference is situated in the western United States. The conference participates in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. It’s football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS; formerly Division I-A), the higher of two levels of NCAA Division I football championships.
The Pacific-10 Conference office is situated twenty five miles east of San Francisco in Walnut Creek, California.
the conference was founded more than 80 years ago on December 15, 1915. It was originally called the Pacific Coast Conference (PCC). There were four founding member colleges; the University of Washington, the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Oregon, and Oregon State University. All still are charter members of the Conference.
Pac-10 sponsors eleven women’s sports and eleven men’s sports. The conference is a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) in 4 other men’s sports and 2 other women’s sport.
