MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE

The Mid-American conference was founded in 1946 and has since grown into one of the most dynamic DI conference in the nation.

The conference is headquarted in Cleveland Ohio. It was founded as a five school athletic league. It is the fourth largest Division I-A conference in relation to undergraduate student population.

Member schools come from 6 individual states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Mid-American Conference's women’s basketball had two firsts in 2007. Bowling Green became the 1st MAC women’s basketball team to advance as far as the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament, and Northern Illinois’ guard Stephanie Raymond became the first-ever MAC player in the WNBA when she played for the Chicago Sky after being a second round draft selection.
