NCAA ATHLETIC CONFERENCES

AMERICA SKY MEN'S GOLF CONFERENCE

 

The National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I Management Council Administrative Committee announced that effective from September 1, 2007 the America Sky Men's Golf Conference has been elected as an active NCAA Division I conference.

The America Sky Men's Golf Conference is a unique group of colleges from literally across the USA,. The conference is a single sport conference that was created by bringing together the men’s golf teams from the Big Sky Conference and America East Conference.

Member institutions of the America Sky Men's Golf Conference will now have an opportunity for their student-athletes to compete at conference level with a championship.

The Conference is comprised of eight institutions spanning from the west Coast to the East Coast. Theses schools are: University of Texas-Pan American, Binghamton University, Idaho State University, University of Hartford, University of Northern Colorado, Utah Valley University, Weber State University and Sacramento State University.

    The America Sky Conference will be eligible for National Collegiate Athletic Association Championship automatic qualifier status starting in the 2009-10 season.
