The WHAC Executive Council voted for the admission of the University of Michigan Dearborn as a member on July 1, 2004 to replace Spring Arbor College, again giving the WHAC 7 teams. The conference regained it's 8th member school in 2005 when Davenport University joined Dearborn as an associate member in the sports of women's and men's basketball and men's golf and soccer.
