Missouri Baptist College is a leading Christian university in Saint Louis, offering graduate and undergraduate studies in over 30 specialized fields and 9 degrees. The University's fine arts and education programs are nationally recognized in addition to business, religion, administration of justice, and more.

The University is currently one of the quickest growing higher education institutions in the state of Missouri with an enrollment of over Three thousand six hundred students at 4 locations in the greater Saint Louis area — Lincoln County, West County, Jefferson County, and Franklin County.

Missouri Baptist College opened a campus extension in 1957, at Tower Grove Baptist Church in mid-town St. Louis with Sixty eight students. Under the auspices of Hannibal-LaGrange College and the direction of its president, Dr. L.A. Foster, Bible courses were offered for laymen and pastors. During the 2nd term, a number of liberal arts courses were requested and provided.

     The records show that student influence and organizational work of St. Louis Baptist leaders, pastors, and laymen influenced the Missouri Baptist Convention to adopt a motion in 1960 to "approve the establishment of a Baptist university in greater St. Louis." The 1st meeting of the Board of Trustees for Missouri Baptist University was held in Jan. 1964. Dr. Frank Kellogg served as the 1st chairman of the Board of Trustees and later as the school's 2nd president.

Missouri Baptist College's students have included many who became pioneers in business and industry, some became governors and senators and career public servants.

Missouri Baptist University is a member college of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic (NAIA) and offers the following intercollegiate sports: Baseball (M), Basketball (M), Basketball (W), Bowling (M), Bowling (W), Cheerleading, Cross Country (M), Cross Country (W), Golf (M), Golf (W), Lacrosse (M), Lacrosse (W), Soccer (M), Soccer (W), Softball (W), Tennis (M/W), Track & Field (M/W), Volleyball (M), Volleyball (W) and  Wrestling (M).
