Water and your diet
Plenty of
water and smaller portions
If you had set diet and exercise plans to help you slim down and get into
shape for the summer but did not reach your goals you should not
just give up. If you follow these 4 simple steps to improve your
diet habits over summer and lose weight then all is not
lost.
Step 1. Drink plenty of water. Don't
reach for a coke or soda and stop buying sweetened
fruit juice or drinks. Cut out milkshakes and iced tea or coffee
and drink water instead. There are no calories in water. None,
Zero. Water id the best thirst quencher on the market and most of
the time it's free.
Drink a large glass of water with each meal.
Take a water bottle with you in the car.
Keep a cooler
full of water with you when you go on picnics or the beach etc..
Make sure there is always a water bottle on your desk
at work.
Place a water
bottle in the freezer overnight for ice-cold drinking throughout
the next morning. Leave an air pocket at the top before
freezing.
Add a twist of
lemon or lime or lemon for a great taste.
Keep a pitcher of ice water in the fridge, and drink it all
by the end of the day.

Step 2. Shop farmer's markets for the freshest
produce. Make the farmer's market a stop on your weekly
route and buy plenty of healthy and delicious produce every day.
Have a bowl of baby carrots, snap peas and broccoli on hand for
snacks.
Step 3. Begin your day with a drink for breakfast. Mix
together fruit, milk or juice and ice cubes. Pour it all into the
blender and within seconds your breakfast is ready. Try your
favorite combination of frozen and fresh fruit. It is so
easy, quick and good for you too.
Step 4.Think small. Eat smaller
meals. Share a sandwich with a friend, order a cup of soup instead
of a bowl, go for an entree portion for dinner instead of a main
course, and if you must have an ice cream, ask for the smallest cone
you can get. Smaller portions also satisfy your hunger and your
waistline will definitely thank you.
