All about the College Ball Game

The NCAA College World Series is held each year in Omaha, Nebraska which has been the permanent home of the championship since 1950.

Since1962 the NCAA championship has been making a profit that is shared among the participating schools, the NCAA, and the hosts.

The baseball championship competition is held between 8 regions. 6 teams from each region play off in a double elimination competition, with the winning school advancing to the College World Series. The 8 regional champions then take part in another double elimination tournament to determine the national college baseball champion.

The NCAA Division two championship began in 1968 at Springfield, Missouri. The championship was moved to Springfield, Illinois, in 1972 and to Riverside, California, in 1980. Montgomery, Alabama, has hosted the tournament since 1985.
