Arm Wrestling Match

Facts about arm wrestling

RULES AND HISTORY OF ARM WRESTLING

When you get to the table you must:
Grab the peg at the side.
Put your elbow on the pad before the grip is taken.
Take your grip. You can grip as high or as low as you like just so long as long as the top thumb knuckle is visible on both hands.

Shoulders must be square with the table and the referee has to be able to pass his fist between the shoulder and the grip before the arm wrestling match can be started. After the "Go" is given you are allowed move your shoulders.
Your wrists must also be straight, still and in the middle of the table. Pressure may be applied as long as the grip does not move from centre.
If an acceptable grip cannot be obtained within 1 minute then a referee's grip will be applied.
The start will be a "Ready-Go".

WARNINGS:
An early start
Releasing the peg during the match without gaining an advantage
