Some of Oregon’s best golf courses are those located at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, situated just to the north of the small city of Bandon on the southern Oregon coast.

The 1st course at the resort was Bandon Dunes which opened on May 19, 1999. Bandon Dunes was designed by Scotsman David McLay Kidd and was recognized as a top course soon after it opened. The course features numerous pot bunkers and gorse-lined fairways.

Bandon Dunes was designed in such a way that it remains imminently playable in even the strongest of winds. The fairways are quite generous and the greens quite large, although both unnecessarily so in spots. this design concept works well even in calm conditions as the prominent undulations of the greens present a challenge when trying to cover fifty feet with 2 putts.

Bandon Dunes is a five minute drive from the  town of Bandon, just off Highway 101, and just twenty five minutes from the North Bend Airport.

The eighteen hole "Bandon Dunes" course features 6,732 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74.6 and it has a slope rating of 145 on Fescue grass.
