College Football History The birth of football in the United States goes back to Nov. 6, 1869, when teams from Princeton and Rutgers universities met in New Brunswick, New York, for the 1st intercollegiate football game. In the early games, each team was allowed twenty five players. By 1873 this number had been reduced to twenty, in 1876 it was reduced again to fifteen, and in 1880 to the present day number of eleven.

The game of football has really taken over my life. My father is a high school football coach in Texas. Needless to say I have moved numerous amounts of times. I've attended a total of nine different schools and three different high schools.

The game is played by 2 opposing teams of 11. The football field is level, measures 100 by 53 1-3 yd (91.4 by 48.8 m), it is divided off by lateral stripes every 5 yd (4.57 m) and has at each end an end zone 10 yd (9.14 m) deep. Rules of Football.

There are some great football camps on offer many covering all aspects of the game and others concentrating on defense, offense or kicking. There are also camps for quarterbacks and receivers.

A brace of memories I love football, lately I have not played for a while, just focusing on school, but I do not regret any moment of pain, because there is about three times more, spectacular moments.
