DANVILLE AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Danville Area Community College is a public 2 year institution situated
in Danville, Illinois. The College opened in 1946 and has grown into an
independent school serving over five thousand students each year in over
1,500 unique courses.
Students at Danville are enrolled in courses and programs including: college
transfer, occupational degrees and certificates, skill development,
re-training, customized training or areas of special interest.The College
is located at 2000 East Main Street in Danville, Vermilion County, Ill. At
the intersection of Interstate 74 and Illinois Route 1, Danville is one
hundred and twenty five miles south of Chicago, thirty five miles east of
the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and ninety miles west of
Indianapolis, Indiana.

Danville Area Community
College competes in 11 sports and is a member of the
National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) as well as
Region 24 in the state of Illinois the School competes at the
NJCAA Division II level.
The College fields a number highly competitive
intercollegiate sports teams including women’s and men's
basketball, cross-country and track and field, men’s baseball,
soccer, golf, and women’s softball and volleyball . A limited
number of Athletic Scholarships are provided in each sport for
students who meet the scholarship criteria as determined by the
school and by the NJCAA, Division II. |
