COLLEGE of lake county

College of Lake County is a comprehensive junior college offering a wide range of academic programs aimed at meeting students' educational needs at different stages of their lives.
 
Major program areas at the school include credit programs to prepare students for transfer to a four year college or career entry, GED and adult basic education, non-credit offerings for personal or career development, and contract training and specialized services for businesses.

Educational programs emphasize academic excellence and concern with the individual student's aims. Each semester the institution serves nearly sixteen thousand credit students, of which more than eighty percent are enrolled in transfer or career preparation programs.

College of Lake County is situated in the far northeastern suburbs of Chicago, the school district has a population of almost 650,000 residents, living in more than fifty demographically diverse communities.
