Clackamas community COLLEGE

The College offers 1 year Certificate of Completion and 2 year Associate of Science Degree programs in thirty technical and professional career areas as well as General Studies.


In 2001-02, there were 6,939 students studying in technical and professional programs, 3% of whom graduated during that year. An estimated 68.2% of technical and professional students were employed within a year after leaving the school.

Clackamas Junior College offers the2 year Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer Degree, completion of which guarantees junior standing upon admission to any OSSHE university or college. Transfer students can choose from more than 70 major areas of study.

The Institution offers credit and non-credit personal interest and enrichment courses through district community schools at more than one hundred locations. In 2001-02, there were an estimated 4,474 students enrolled in college community school classes.

Clackamas Community College, (Cougars), sets the benchmark for excellence in sports. Since becoming a member of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) in 1984, the Cougars have been leaders in every sport taking out over twenty northwest titles including 4 last season and one this year.

The College proudly represents the best in Oregon athletics competing in the highly competitive Southern Region - a division entirely made up of Oregon junior colleges.

Intercollegiate sports offered include: men's baseball, women's softball, men's and women's track, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, women's soccer, and wrestling.
