The College has three main campuses located in Grand Island, Columbus and Hastings. While each campus has its distinct personality, they all offer a high quality education, outstanding faculty and facilities, affordable tuition and the opportunity to get involved in campus life and student organizations.

The Institution is a multi-campus junior college serving a Twenty Five county area in central Nebraska—about 14,000 square miles with a population of more than 280,000.
Central Community College is one of 6 community college areas in Nebraska. This structure was the result of 1971 state legislation that formed the 6 areas and required that all counties in the state become part of one of the community college areas.

Central Community College offers Thirty Five career and technical education programs with a focus on degree, diploma and certificate programs that require 2 years or less to finish. The school also offers an academic transfer program for students who want to complete the 1st 2 years of a bachelors degree before transferring to a Four year university or college.

Central Community College offers classes in communities throughout its Twenty Five county service area, online learning, and training and development for industries, businesses and other organizations.

The Columbus Campus of the college is a member institution of the NJCAA  and boasts a gymnasium, weight room and locker rooms that are available for fitness programs, physical education classes, intramural sports, and intercollegiate competition in women’s volleyball and men’s basketball.
