If all 4 players take part in a hand, the makers score one point for taking 3 tricks. They score an extra two points by taking all 5 tricks. If the makers don't get 3 tricks, they are "euchred" and the defenders then score two points. If a maker goes alone and takes all 5 tricks, his partnership gets four points. If he takes 3 or 4tricks, his partnership gets only one point. If a defender goes alone and takes 3 or more tricks, his partnership scores four points. The 1st team to score ten points wins.
