Cape Fear Community College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees. CFCC is one of the oldest and largest members of the North Carolina Community College System.

About Cape Fear Community College:

Enrollment: Cape Fear is one of the largest of North Carolina's Fifty-Nine community colleges. Over Twenty-Seven thousand people attend classes at the college every year. The School's enrollment in credit programs topped Seven thousand in the fall 2004 semester.

Graduate Success: According to the most recent graduate employment survey, 98% of Cape Fear Community College graduates reported that they had taken up full time employment or were continuing their education at a higher level.

Economic Impact: For every dollar spent towards the operation of the school, $2.36 is returned back into the local community. The college helps boost the economy of New Hanover and Pender counties by generating an additional $435 million in business sales and $192 million in labor income, according to a recent study released by the North Carolina Community College System.

Employees: The College has 424 full-time employees. CFCC also employs several hundred part-time employees as well.

Student Demographics: 80% white; 20% non-white; 53% female; 47% male; Average age is 28.

Cape Fear Community College's main campus is situated in historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina on the banks of the Cape Fear River. The school also has 2 Pender County campuses located in Hampstead and Burgaw, and a new North Campus situated in northern New Hanover County. Evening and day classes are offered at all campuses.
