Camden County College has 3 distinct campuses Blackwood, Camden, and Cherry Hill.
The school's presence in downtown Camden began in the spring of 1969, when an evening diploma-completion program was offered to Twenty students who had finished tenth grade but not graduated from high school.
 
This program helped the students prepare to pass their general education development (GED) test so that they could start full-time college courses on the Blackwood Campus that fall.

Camden County College has an enrollment of more than Thirty-Thousand credit students and 1000's more non-credit students every year. Programs cover technical fields like automotive technology and mechanical engineering; health professions like medical coding and nursing; and liberal arts and sciences like English and chemistry. There also is a multitude of recreational offerings, ranging from social dancing to computer studies

The school recognizes the importance of the development of both the mind and the body and provides the opportunity for students to compete in intercollegiate athletics. A variety of athletic activities for the experienced athlete as well as the casual participant looking for self-directed physical activity are offered. Varsity teams for both women and men compete against other 2 year college teams in the New Jersey Garden State Athletic Conference and Region XIX of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Men compete in basketball, soccer, golf and baseball.

Women compete in basketball, soccer and softball. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the schools athletic facilities, including an all-weather, quarter-mile track; an athletic center with a weight and fitness room, basketball/volleyball courts and various outdoor playing fields.

Camden County College is a member of the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association), Region XIX, and the GSAC (Garden State Athletic Conference). The college participates at the highly competitive Division III level which is the designation for colleges that do not offer athletic scholarships. The "Cougars" compete against junior colleges in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.
