history and ATHLETIC information Fresno State is one of the twenty three
campuses of the California State University, one of the
largest systems of higher education on earth.
The institution has an enrollment over twenty thousand undergraduate and graduate students. The average class size is twenty; less than two percent of classes have an enrollment over one hundred students. The student to faculty ratio is 24:1. Fresno State is a member institution of the NCAA Division I (I-A football) Western Athletic Conference (WAC). |

Intercollegiate sports: Baseball |
The college wrestling team won a third place finish recently at the Reno Tournament of champions. The Bulldogs scored ninety six points in the tournament, which included 19 teams.
The college women’s golf team recently finished second in the Cal Poly Sports and Wellness Invitational, 2 strokes behind champion and host, Cal Poly.
