The California Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime) is situated in Vallejo, California and is a specialized and unique campus of The California State University that offers students bachelor’s degrees in facilities engineering technology, marine engineering technology, business administration, global studies and maritime affairs, marine transportation, and mechanical engineering.

The University is one of only 7 degree-granting maritime academies in the USA. The College offers specialized education that combines experiential learning, classroom instruction and professional development to help prepare students for successful careers in maritime policy, international business and logistics technology, engineering, or in the transportation and maritime industries. International travel, training, and experiences that includes a 2 month international training cruise onboard the Training Ship GOLDEN BEAR.

   the College offers 9 intercollegiate sports, 4 of which are affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Men’s soccer, basketball, and golf are charter members of the California Pacific Conference. In 2004-2005, women’s basketball completed its inaugural year as an intercollegiate program and is now a member of the Cal Pac. Women's water polo is the latest addition to women's sports for the 2006-07 season. Rugby, crew, sailing and water polo are offered as inter mural sports.
