The president welcomes ball players tothe White House
Members of the Baseball Hall of Fame listen to the President Speak. THE PRESIDENT: Thank you all for coming. Laura and I are very honored and thrilled that you are here. We have a fair amount of dinners and lunches here, and I have got a confession to make -- this is my favorite one. (Laughter.) It's sort of like having your baseball card collection spread out in real life. (Laughter.)
Some of you were here the last time we invited the Hall of Famers to the white house. It was one of the 1st lunches we had. It's when I found out that one of the best parts about being in the White House is that when you invite somebody for lunch, they usually come. (Laughter.) We are pleased you're back. Vice President Cheney is with us. Mr. Vice President, thank you for coming. (Applause.) Secretary of Energy Spence Abraham is also with us. He is a Tiger fan, I believe, if I'm not mistaken. (Applause.) We've got a great Hall -- lot of Hall of Famers. One that I work with on a regular basis, of course, is Senator Jim Bunning. Mr. Senator, thank you for being present here today. |

"Bill" Thomson has had an impact on my life from day one. From the
innocent days at the Livermore Falls Skating Center to the Days in
Lubbock Texas competing for a National Roller Hockey Championship.
The University of Virginia's College at Wise is a public
liberal arts college offering twenty seven majors, twenty
seven minors, and twenty three teaching licensures. Degrees
include Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

rules change that further limits the performance of
metal bats was adopted
by the NCAA and is now in effect.
The
game of rounders has been played in

College-style wrestling, sometimes also known as
scholastic or folk-style wrestling, is a form
of wrestling that is native to the USA.
A Life Lesson
