Track Running by T'keyah Bell. Throughout those years of running track it began to feel good about knowing that it was what I wanted to do, not only that it was what I loved to do. Running track became more passionate to me then any other sport. Last year 2008 was unforgettable I accomplished more than I could have ever imagined.

A Race To Remember by Sydney Devore. Gathered at the starting line, teeth gritting, bodies shaking, and noses flushed an embarrassing shade of pink, the teams huddled, prayed, and shared words of encouragement.

Track Running And Me by Tyler Ishmael.  My first running sport was in the spring; I started track knowing that I would be doing long distance. When I first started I was pretty fast in the mile and later I was also good at the 800 meters.

A Distance Runner by Charlotte Stegelles. “So, why do you run?” It is the most tedious question asked of distance runners—one that often leads to gaping mouths, stuttered syllables and the repeating of “umm” that never actually accumulate in a feasible answer.

Bittersweet by Adriana Raybould. It began when I was young; days of running around the track with not a care in the world, yet wishing that people would somehow agree to design every track with a smaller circumference for the sake of all humanity.

Track and field athletics in the United States dates from the 1860s. The Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America, the nation's first national athletic group, held the first collegiate races in 1873, and in 1888 the Amateur Athletic Union (which governed the sport for nearly a century) held its first championships.

Fall Into Glory By Anon Runner.  I passed one girl. I accelerated faster with unbridled passion. I passed another, mentally pumping a fist of victory.

The Race By Allison Clarke. My goal for the whole cross country season has been to break twenty minutes. I haven’t yet, and the state meet is my last chance.

Track And Transition By Jeronda Womack. Academics, track, and the coping with changes in my life has helped me to know who I am. I am the type of person whether I win or lose a race that will keep perusing the short and long term goals that I set for myself.

One Team, One goal, One Bond By Jenna Alvarado. Leaving high school I feel more accomplished with every decision I made, and every last ounce of pain I forced upon my body all from the single sport of track and field.

An Addiction with Endorphins By Koral Skeen. This past spring after several halves, I completed my first full marathon. My mother was still faithfully standing at  the finish line.

A Settled Place by Trevor Johnson. We were side by side, having already run a perfect first mile. We were ready to attack the rest of the race.

A Will To Win By Vanessa Floyd. My first race I get 61 seconds. Coach congratulates me for opening up the season with my current personal record.

Cross Country Vs Track And Field By Kelsey Dillon. Cross country training is different than track’s training. In cross country we went for distance, speed, and endurance.
