Field hockey is my favorite sport of all time. I love to play it, or even just watching it on TV. Field hockey involves hard work and dedication. It is an exciting and fun sport to play. It enables you to play in a team based environment, in which you don’t just play as a team, but as a family. You learn the value of teamwork, and the friendship that comes along with it.

I have been playing field hockey since the seventh grade. At the time, I never
heard of field hockey before. A friend of mine was going to try out for the team, so I decided to give it a shot. Field hockey seems very difficult at first, but with a couple days of practice, you’ll see that it is a very simple sport to play. I fell in love with it the very first day. I even chose field hockey over soccer, which I was also playing at the time. Not only did I fall in love with the sport, I fell in love with the team. We were all just like one big family. We were there for each other during season, and even out of season. It just shows how important a sport, like field hockey, can bring people together.

Over the years, I’ve been through a lot of things. Playing field hockey, I’ve been through long practices that seemed endless. I’ve been through games that were the best experience of my life, win or lose. It didn’t matter if we lost either, as long as we were happy with how we played that day, and that we did our best. I met people that I will never forget. Since this is my last year, I’m going to continue my experience and play in college. When I look back to that day I decided to play field hockey, I realize how different my life would be if I chose not to play. I would have missed out on a wonderful experience. In the end, it was all worth it.
