The Game Of Baseball. By Troyluis Patrick Garvin But as I continued the dream of playing baseball for a college that's the dream. But I haven't been able to play yet but this march I hope to continue the dream so one day one day soon I can play the game with some of the greats like a-rod, big papi, and even Derek Jeter one of the greats. My sports hero is my dad, Jeff Quinley. My dad may not be a professional athlete but he is still a hero both on and off the course, court, or track to me. I really admire him as an athlete, coach, and person. Baseball became popular in Japan after American soldiers introduced it during the occupation following World War II. In the 1990s a Japanese player, Hideo Nomo, became a star pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Baseball is also widely played in Cuba and other Caribbean nations. |

Canasta was invented in Uruguay in the early twentieth Century, it is a classic card game that spread to the USA in 1949. The name of the game, which means "basket" in Spanish, may come from the tray used to hold the stock and discards.
Gin Rummy is usually a two player game with both players receiving ten cards.
One standard pack of fifty two cards is used. Cards in each suit are ranked
from low to high.
