Competitive contingents are available in the men’s division in sports like basketball, baseball, bowling, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and track & field. The women’s teams compete in basketball, bowling, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field and volleyball. Ashford competes as a member of the Association of Independent Institutions (A. I. I.), which includes universities from the United States and Canada.

Ashford received the Midwestern Collegiate Conference (MCC) President’s Cup, a decorated athletic and academic achievement award, sponsored by the Presidents from all schools within the MCC. Other recent honors by Saints include 12 programs being recognized as NAIA Scholar Teams, 83 student-athletes being named to the MCC Academic All-Conference and 19 varsity players making the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes list.

Guide to Athletic Scholarships at Ashford University

One hundred percent free tuition, a feature of Ashford University’s new scholarship program has brought praise from a congressman, and hope and relief to both students and the community at large. Needing only the required grade-point average, campus students can be rewarded with up to a full, 4-year scholarship. These scholarships, ranked in order from the highest include the Presidents Scholarship, the Provost’s Scholarship, and the Dean’s Scholarship. These scholarships are available for current and new students. Outside scholarships are also allowed. And to further the cause of the university’s commitment to provide accessible, innovative, high-quality learning various aid plans can be explored by the students that would fit their needs and circumstances like the Level-Play Plan, Tuition Reimbursement Plan, and the Direct Bill Plan among others.
