ABRAHAM BALDWIN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE

 

Abraham Baldwin College is 1 of the biggest residential, coeducational 2-year colleges in Georgia. Over 3,400 students from 16 states, 17 countries, and 149 Georgia counties take classes every day on a beautiful 421-acre campus nestled in the heart of south Georgia.

 
The Division of Agriculture and Forest Resources is the largest division on campus, and nursing is the School's largest individual program major. 

The college offers 40 college transfer programs in which students move on to four-year colleges and universities after their ABAC terms are completed. Students can also choose from 15 two-year career technological degrees which launch them into the job market when their Baldwin College days are over. Another option is the certificate program, where the College offers Nineteen selections, each of which can be completed in a single year.

Abraham Baldwin’s athletic facilities rank second to none in the University System with two gymnasiums, 12 lighted tennis courts, a golf driving range and putting green, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a weight room, a half-mile walking track enclosing a multi-purpose athletic field, a baseball field, volleyball courts, a rodeo arena, a fast-pitch softball field and the nine-hole Forest Lakes golf course.

Abraham Baldwin College students can participate in intercollegiate athletics in men’s basketball, men’s baseball, men’s tennis, women’s fast pitch softball, women’s basketball, and women’s tennis. Golf joined the lineup in 2005, and women’s soccer comes aboard in 2006.
